Generators & surge

After a hurricane, power can be out for days. The right backup setup keeps the AC, fridge, and essentials running — safely.

Our role

We size the system with you, handle the electrical installation, permits, and inspections, and coordinate with the generator dealer and gas contractor. Generator placement is planned around setbacks, flood elevation, and noise.

Surge protection

Southwest Florida has frequent lightning. A whole-home surge protective device at the panel helps protect HVAC equipment, appliances, and electronics, and is required by code for many new and replaced services. Point-of-use protection adds a second layer for sensitive equipment.

Never backfeed a generator through a dryer or other outlet. It's illegal and can electrocute line workers. Use a transfer switch or interlock.
