Terms of Service
Effective October 15, 2026
These terms apply to your use of swansonselectric.us and to electrical services provided by Swanson's Electric Inc. ("we," "us"), 2430 Vanderbilt Beach Road, 108-405, Naples, FL 34109. Your signed proposal, contract, or work order sets out the specific scope and amount and controls if it conflicts with these terms.
Quotes and scope
- Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Service calls carry a trip and diagnostic charge disclosed when booking. Repairs are quoted before work begins.
- Changes to scope are documented in a written change order before the additional work is done.
Payment
Projects may require a deposit and progress payments as listed in your proposal. Service work is due on completion. Builder accounts are billed per the agreed draw schedule.
Permits, inspections & utility work
We obtain required permits and schedule inspections. Inspection and utility timing is set by those agencies. If an inspector requires corrections to our work, we make them at no additional charge.
Existing conditions
We aren't responsible for pre-existing code issues, concealed damage, or equipment installed by others. If we find conditions that must be corrected to complete work safely or pass inspection, we'll explain them and quote the work first.
Your responsibilities
- Provide safe access, gate codes, and HOA or association approvals where required.
- Tell us about known hazards or previous electrical work.
- For new construction, provide current plans and timely notice of schedule changes.
Warranty
- Workmanship: one year from completion on residential work (or as stated in your contract). Covered defects are corrected at no charge.
- Materials: manufacturer warranties apply. Customer-supplied fixtures and equipment are covered only by their manufacturers.
- Warranties exclude damage from lightning, surges, flooding, storm surge, misuse, or alterations by others.
Website tools
The storm ready check and other website content are general information and not a substitute for an on-site evaluation.
Complaints and dispute resolution
Contact support@swansonselectric.us or (239) 598-3174. We'll acknowledge within 1 business day and provide a written resolution within 10 business days, including any return visit. If a dispute isn't resolved, either party may request non-binding mediation in Collier County with a mutually agreed mediator, with the mediator's fee shared equally, before filing a claim. Nothing here prevents you from contacting a consumer protection agency or filing in small claims court.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to a job is limited to the amount paid for that job, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Florida law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Florida law. Venue for any dispute is Collier County, Florida.
Changes
We may update these terms. Changes don't affect signed contracts.
